  Kinesthetic Learning Style  
  3 key learning styles are "visual learners", "listeners" and "Kinesthetic learners". ADD children are usually kinesthetic learners meaning that they need to learning through doing and touching. The Montessorri methods focus teaching children while using all the 5 senses: seeing, listening, smelling, touching and thinking and is appropriate for any types of learners and is especially useful for children with learning disability.

  What To Do:  
  To enhance listening skills of ADD & Kinesthetic children:  
  Allow child to place phone calls to relatives & friends  
  Drama class, religious instructions  
  You & child take turns to add parts of a story  
  Buy Fisher-Price wireless microphone with speakers  
  Kinesthetic children likes/enjoys the following activities:  
  Swimming, horse-riding, dance, martial art, cycling  
  Joining as scout or brownies  
  Camping / sleeping on hammock  
  Other activities to better develop kinesthetic children include:  
  Playing checkers, table tennis, badminton  
  Purchasing book with video session to enhance reading skill

  Visual Therapy  
  This is for children with problems co-ordinating their eye movements and this leads to reading problems. Also trains a child to scan an area systematically (e.g. from left to right and top to bottom). ADD children tends to scan an image randomly in all directions.
